Board Meeting Schedule

Due to some scheduling issues with the new Board Members, the Board change over meeting will be held February 10th @ 10:00 AM.

The regular monthly meeting will be held on February 17th @ 10:00AM.

New Years Eve 2018

New Year’s Eve gathering at the clubhouse.
Start time 8 PM. Sandwich and shrimp platters will be available.
Appetizers are welcome. (and encouraged…lol)

Message from the Board

May 1st 2017

 

Dear JLPOA members, 

We are quickly approaching the summer season at the lake. As you may be aware we have been trying to make the monthly meetings a place were all members have a right to express their opinions on issue brought forward. We have seen a great increase in attendance, which is a great thing. The next meeting will be held on May13th at 10 AM.  

We will be using the boat sticker program to identify our members. If you did not receive one last year or you bought a new boat /PWC please see me at lot 240 for a sticker.  

We have moved the portable potty’s down near the beach. These will remain open until 8pm and later during clubhouse events. Please remember these are the property of all JLPOA members. Please do not throw any items other than toilet paper in them. The current plan is to open the clubhouse from 8 am to 8 pm on weekends for members to enjoy. Please clean up after using the facility. We have installed cameras in and around the clubhouse for everyone’s safety and security.  

We have many of the normal events planned for this year and we are excited about adding a car show. The event will be held on July 29th. There will be more information available in the near future.  

We will be holding a community cleanup day on may 13th after the meeting. We will be working on cleaning up the horseshoe pits, beach area and installing a volleyball court. After much discussion with JLPOA members we have decided on a grass volleyball court. Any members who need assistance with cleaning their lot do to physical impairments please contact Board members so we can arrange some help.  

There will be a second roll off being dropped on May 12th. Please do not use it to clear major construction projects. Also we are not able to discard appliances, paints and other hazardous materials.  

We received a request from the parks department to label all buoys left in the lake with name and Lot #.   

Boat ramp hours are 8AM to 8PM beginning May 27th. These hours will be kept on Saturday’s and Sunday.

JLPOA Annual Meeting
By now, all of the owners should have received the JLPOA 2017 Annual Meeting packets containing notification of the Annual Meeting as well as other useful inclusions like the the revised Rules and Regs, current owner statements, etc.Please plan on attending the 2017 JLPOA Annual Meeting

JLPOA Dues Increase
The JLPOA Budget Committee met in October of 2016.  As as result of that meeting, there will be an Association Dues increase in 2017.  A staggering $1 was added to your monthly dues this year to cover known expenses in 2017.  That equates to $32.00 per lot, per month.Special thanks to the Budget Committee and all who attended the meeting for their hard work and diligence.

Special “Thanks!” to Dave Hodapp for clearing the roads this winter with your heavy equipment!  For those who do not know Dave does this completely on his own and at his own expense.
