2015 Golf Cart Parade – Thanks!

Wow! What an AWESOME turnout for the “2015 Golf Cart Parade”!

We (Brad and Janice Hueske) want to thank EACH and EVERYONE who entered a golf cart in the parade this year.  The work that goes into them and the level of decorating is just amazing.

Also want to give some BIG Shout Outs too:

To all the wonderful judges that volunteered or were roped into judging the golf carts.  Unfortunately I don’t know everyone’s name so I tried to include some pictures of judges, Rich & Antoinette, Roy & Brenda Peterson, Scott, Brandon, & Tate Sturtevant, Bruno & Karen (may have missed some).

The great ice cream scoopers – Mary Tjarks, Wanda Loney, and Liz

To all the wonderful people who helped us set-up and clean-up.

To Pam Sheaff for helping me get everyone registered into the parade.

My sisters who helped pass out the medals, take pictures and anything else we needed.
We loved seeing all the wonderful pictures on Facebook.

Brad & I have as much fun finding and creating the trophies through out the year as we do at the event.  We already have some new ideas for next year’s awards.

P.S.  I want to also put a special Thank you out to the Seibold family for keeping all of us on our toes and raising the bar for the past several years.

The Property Owner assumes all Responsibility for any of their guest’s actions inside the park, and is also responsible for making sure that any guest is aware of the JLPOA Rules and Regulations.

This means that any violation committed against the JLPOA Rules and Regulations by a guest will be assessed against the property that issued the Guest Pass.

If a person or persons are approached by a Board member and cannot provide a Guest Pass it will be assumed that they are trespassing and the matter will be turned over to the proper authorities if the party in question refuses to leave the Village.
Above Rule & Regulation was adopted and approved unanimously at the April 8, 2006 Board of Directors meeting.

If you need a Guest Pass, you may download and print one via the JLPOA Guest Pass section of the JLPOA Website or you may contact any board member.

It has been brought to the JLPOA Board’s attention that folks are walking through lots to gain access to some of the greenbelts.

If you do not have permission from the owner to walk through a lot, you are trespassing which is a criminal offense and is punishable by law.

Above Ground Connections:

The JLPOA Board are monitoring every hydrant in the Village on a regular basis.

If you have above ground connections and your connections are leaking, they will be shut off and spray painted red.  It is the JLPOA owner’s responsibility to ensure that these connections are not leaking.

If you see a leaking connection, please report it to theJLPOA Board.

Please help keep our costs down by checking your water connections on a regular basis!

Lacy Hickson Memorial Scholarship 2015

Dear Family, Friends and Neighbors:

There is never a day that goes by that something doesn’t remind us of Lacy. A song that she liked reminds us so much of how head strong she was. I can just imagine seeing her singing that song with her head bopping! We plan on sharing this song with you at the dinner.

We are very pleased to announce we awarded five $1,000 scholarships to students this year.  Two students are from Jackson Lake: Tyler Imel and Baylie Taylor.  Three students are from Wiggins HS: Alexa Ashbrook, Jade Crandall and Bernie Kopetzky. And, as of this year, we have been able to award 42 students with a scholarship.

Thank you so VERY MUCH for supporting Lacy’s foundation –
We could not make this possible without your help.

This year we held a horseshoe tournament in May. We were anticipating a terribly rainy day as it had rained the whole month of May. Instead we were blessed with a beautiful sunny day – not one rain drop!

We do have 2 more events planned this year: a 2nd Lacy Hickson Memorial Horseshoe Tournament on August 8th and the Tenth Annual Lacy Hickson Memorial Dinner onSeptember 26th at the JLPOA clubhouse.

Hope to see you there!!!

God Bless,
Chuck and Debbie Hickson
