June 13th Dance: Kevin Beiland & The Roustabouts

Dennis and Heidi Jackson, your new JLPOA neighbors on Lots 89-90, have graciously booked Kevin Beiland & The Roustabouts, an amazing southern country rock band, on Saturday, June 13th 2015 at the Clubhouse.

Dennis and Heidi went through all of the proper channels and came out of their own pocket to bring this band to the lake.  As you can imagine, it was fairly expensive.  As such, donations are being accepted both at the board meeting and the night of the dance to help offset their costs.  Let’s show Dennis and Heidi how much we appreciate their efforts and welcome them into the JLPOA family!

Bridge Work
Bruce at Morgan County communicated that prep-work for the asphalt related to the bridge will begin today.  As such, the bridge will be closed during the day(s).  Prep-work is expected to last until Wednesday (possibly Thursday) as long as the weather cooperates.  Again, these are daytime outages only; it will be open at night.

Asphalt will be put down June 8th and 9th where again the bridge will be closed during the daytime hours only.  Bruce also relayed that they are also doing some patch work on the little bridge up the road by the farmhouse.  Please watch your speed.  Approach both bridges slowly.

Lot Cleanup
With the amount of rain that we received it’s not surprising that most of us are experiencing an above average year as it relates to vegetation.  Please be considerate of your friends and neighbors and make a point to come up to the lake and get your lots cleaned up.  Lot cleanup letters will be going out shortly.

There is a saying that starts, “It takes a village…”.  It’s been proven time and time again…especially out at the lake.  It is impossible for one person to do everything.  Individually, we are simply owners who live near each other but together we are the JLPOA.  On behalf of the JLPOA Board of Directors and all of the owners, I would like to formally recognize the following people and thank them for their contributions over the Memorial Day holiday weekend.
