!!!!!!!!!!!!!! IMPORTANT !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! IMPORTANT !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! IMPORTANT !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Due to the Zebra Mussel infestation at Highline Lake (Highline Lake), the Colorado Parks and Wildlife is enforcing the ANS Inspection rules very strictly this year. The standard protocol is to apply a seal each time that a watercraft leaves and goes through an exit inspection. The purpose of the seal is to show proof that the boat has not launched since the last inspection.

Boats without seals are subject to a more comprehensive inspection and potential for mandatory decontamination. A watercraft needs decontamination if the watercraft has unverifiable water (e.g. ballast tank, inboard or inboard/outboard engine) and does not have a seal and receipt, was last used out of state OR has ANS not present at Jackson Lake. Decontamination is done at the state park only.

Boats with outboard motors and PWC (Jet skis) that were not last used out of state and do not have an ANS not present at Jackson Lake need an full inspection, but do not require decontamination if the watercraft is cleaned, drained and dry.

We strongly recommend that you get a seal and a receipt EVERY time you come off the water. If you do not have a seal and a white receipt you will be inspected before launching your watercraft. You also may be required to undergo a decontamination. Recent improvements in the JLPOA boat ramp procedures has streamlined the seal process. A few extra minutes when you leave the lake can avoid a much longer delay when you want to launch again.

There will be Zero exceptions!!!!
