While the playground equipment is structurally sound, a citizen team has taken on the project to see about refurbishing or replacing the playground because it does not pass dozens of safety criteria for playground equipment (such as bad cuts on sharp edges) which increases the liability for our Association. Therefore, we will be closing the playground temporarily until we determine whether the Association needs to repair or replace the playground equipment.
We are also looking for a grant writer to help the association apply for grants for this effort. Please reach out to a Board member here if you have experience writing grants!
